One more question. Can you play JNPG as simply a “computer” game with your mouse/keyboard? Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf: An all-new computer game allows users to design, create and play custom golf courses.
Perfect Parallel, the creators of Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf, have announced their plans to release a new Windows 10/XBox One cross-playable version of the game in the first quarter of 2017. I own the PC/Steam version of the current Perfect Golf game, butit's built to be reliant on DirectX 9. While it's a fun to play, fairly realistic golf game, it looks a bit dated because of its subservience to DirectX 9.The Windows 10/XBox One version is being upgraded to DirectX 11/12 standards, and will utilize Unity 5.5's SpeedTree GPU instancing technology to attain frame rates that double those of the current version. It will also utilize NVIDIA's new Turf Effectstechnology to render 3-D rough grasses in multi-shaded textures. The Windows 10/XBox One version of JNPG will also be the first version to offer an offline career mode.If you're a current or prospective buyer of an XBox One, I'd like to see what the market's slant is on the forthcoming release of an XBox One version of Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf. Is this a game you would.1.) buy day one as an XBox One owner2.) wait for reviews and possibly buy later as an XBox One owner3.) if reviews are good buy the game and an XBox One4.) would not buy this game for any platform. Will wait & see if this is any good after release, especially after paying full price for the awful Golf Club at release. The Golf Club did not come across well on the XBox One, IMO.
It orginally launched at 720p (six months later it got bumped to 900p), and had really short draw detail distances, compared to the PS4 version, which launched at 1080p, and had what appearedto be twice detail draw distance of the XB1 version. The XB1 version also seems to average about 28 FPS on the XB1, and 33 FPS on the PS4.The thing that put me off most about The Golf Club was how easy it was to hit the ball straight, and how easy it is to 'dial up' a custom shot using the shot shaper, and still swing away with a 100% swing. It feels more like you're entering coordinatesfor a laser guided lawn darts game than golf because of this. JNPG requires you to modulate shots more so through swing length and speed, as the shot shaper doesn't give you nearly as large a range of control.
This feels better to me than flailing away inalmost every shot. Finally, JNPG allows you to swing the club with the old fashioned, 3-click swing, real time mouse swing, delayed motion swing (also with the mouse), and real time controller swing (my preference), plus there are five levels of difficulty in the game. Istarted at Hacker (the next to the easiest), and I've worked my way up to Tour Pro, where I'm delighted to break 70, when I can. JNPG feels like a more realistic and satisfying game of golf to me. I hope that proves to be the case on the XBox One versionfor you. While Jack does live fairly close to myself as well as the Muirfield course, I just can't really get to excited about it. I would wait for some actual player reviews and videos of their play before I would entertain getting it.
So many other Golf games comparedto EA Golf seem to have limited or fantasy courses and don't seem to have the proper controls that I like and have become accustomed to. I will be open to it but I probably will not buy it in the end.Well at least you're open to it bigd. Graphically, I don't think you'd be terribly impressed with it in its current DirectX 9, Steam/PC iteration. I think it actually plays better than another other golf game I've played, including my former favorite,Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 on the XBox 360. The foundation of this game is really solid, yet it's so hamstrung by its current subservience to DirectX 9.
The soundtrack includes classics such as 'When You Wish Upon a Star' and 'Give a Little Whistle' that will still be familiar to families today. But the lessons in Pinocchio also are timeless: The same traits of bravery, honesty, and selflessness that make Pinocchio human are ones we would like our children to possess in adulthood. More recent reissues also include digital restoration of the film's original colors, so that, for instance, scenes of various cuckoo clocks chiming simultaneously in Geppetto's workshop would be reason enough to recommend the film.
I'm prepared to see a groundbreaking new golf game when it's released in its Windows 10/XBox One format.
