In 5th grade, instead of a fun day of water balloon fights and games, our PE teachers decided that we should have a track meet instead. I always struggled with running but tried to keep a good attitude and try my best. They put us I to groups based on previous times so we would be relatively evenly matched. The whistle blew and I took off running. I fell behind very quickly. I ran as fast as I could but I was so much further behind than the other kids. I heard people cheering me on, but I was mortified and it felt like mockery.

I didn't cross the finish line, instead I ran off the track crying to find my mom who was volunteering.I still dislike running. I try to pick it up every once in a while. Sometimes I can get in the right mindset, but every once in a while it takes me into a negative mindset that reminds me of how I felt in school. I've branched out to other exercises that don't make me feel like as much of a failure, although I need to exercise more regularly.

That being said, maybe try starting with a non-medicinal way of stimulating your bowels- make sure you're drinking enough water, hot beverages sometimes help, same with prune juice.

Hey friends, I'm working on a space-y jumpsuit (inspired by The Expanse). I'm working on a mock up using some curtains I got at a goodwill as the material because I wanted to make sure I had things figured out before spending money on good fabric. Canvas, deming, chino and linen types were recommended by the pattern I'm using loosely. I'm not well versed with fabric types and wanted a second opinion.

Most of the time though, I feel like I can answer the age question honestly and just act confident and no one will say anything or treat me poorly. Occasionally a patient will 'go easy' on me because I'm new which is fine I guess. However most of the time no one says a thing. If i look young to them they don't say it. Being in the role of an RN gives you some authority in their eyes and they assume you're older than your appearance.

People ask me if I'm married or have kids and I feel like an absolute child because it's no to both and I'm far from that stage in life. My 20-something coworkers see me as a peer and are helpful to any new grad regardless of their age.I was worried about this at first too, especially after meeting my cohort of new grads at work and realizing I was the youngest, but age has not been a problem at all. You're starting your career early and it rocks to be steadily employed with full benefits compared to some people your age who are still in school in minimum wage jobs.

Don't sweat about it, the scrubs add 5 years.
