According to Game Informer, Ubisoft has detailed the shutting down of both Ghost Recon Phantoms and The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot. The two free-to-play games did not perform as well as Ubisoft.

This seems to be a large cutdown on Ubi F2P games, as far as I can see the only ones that remain are Anno Online, Settlers Online and Might and Magic Heroes Online. I'm not surprised by Endwar or Duel of Champions, but I definitely wasn't expecting Mighty Quest to go as well, kinda sad considering I played the alpha of that game. It's not very similar. Whereas the ESL two lane mechanic is basically like playing two games of hearthstone at the same time, the DoC row mechanic was a lot more varied and interesting. Things like cards with a 'flying' status that could attack the back row, or the front row blocking the back row acting like taunt cards unless you had a means of attacking past them (ie flying/ranged attackers). Among some other things like cards that would impact an entire row in a line for example.

The premise was amazing,That was about it, I also played the alpha/beta and at no point did it feel to me like it'd take off. Completely opposite impression from you. It had a nice aesthetic/style but the gameplay was very.wooden and castle building was nothing special. There were so many handicaps if you weren't paying cash it just sapped the possibility of having fun. You wouldn't be able to beat the whale's castles and you wouldn't be able to protect yours from them, playing for free had all the usual resources caps, timers, etc you might expect.The E3 reveal definitely had me interested but it just didn't deliver at all.

I had awesome fun in this game back in closed beta and during the early parts of open beta - that period of the game to me is what I'll always remember fondly. Back then it had amazing potential.

The strengths of the game were the complex castle design strategies (setting up hungerbot chain group shenanigans actually took hours, required a fair amount of tweaking and were far from a guaranteed event. But if that first hook landed hoHO!

Sit back and enjoy the show ) another strength were the replays (when they weren't constantly crashing/erroring). The replays were similar to a Tower Defense where you set up your towers each round and enjoy watching how your tactics hold up against the horde. It was immensely satisfying to take a break, chill and watch mine or my friends replays. The comments were GOLD also haha.Or well.

Thanks for giving existing players a heads up and countdown til D-DAY as opposed to just cutting the cord. Based on your lack of communication over the past 12 months I was expecting you'd just take the servers offline and be done with it all. So props there. Sorry you couldn't make this game work out for your business - but I do see potential for this type of game to succeed if done right. Thanks to some of the great players I've been around in Opulencia: Crystal-Ark, Skraal, Tabq, YouNeverKillMe, x-BlackKnight-x, Hereticide and TipToeDonkey from back in the hay day.

Honestly,even i wondered why it took so long. I had a great time here with people i am greatful to know. Thats the main part i sticked around for so long. I just ignore the poking from mr jasper here because the last months just was like bashing in the sandpit to get the biggest shovel.

Sadly that was the most interesting part ^^ neverthless i want to thank you all for the time we spent together,specially all of my clan (of course!), we had a great time together. Also i want to thank magnum opus, specially xaero, vitez tabq. And ofcourse RMZ for giving me a hell of a fight wherever he is.
