Though there are multiple ways to complete a given objective - whether it's the search for a person, a strange object or a location - the game's story unfolds in a linear way and in the following order:

Xevious is composed of 16 areas or stages. Each stage continues immediately on to the next with no visual indication of one stages end and another stages beginning other than a dense forest. The stages are composed of 16 vertical strips that are comprised from the map on the right. Xevious is an arcade game designed by Masanobu Endoh, one of Japan's most respected game creators and the mastermind behind Namco's later arcade hit of '84, The Tower of Druaga. Xevious was one of the earliest vertical scrolling shootemups, and undoubtably shaped the shoot 'em up genre that it helped to create.

They deal heavy damage and have a high critical hit rate.RoguesAssassin – Stealthy melee class that can deal powerful deathblows.Archer – Ranged class with high agility and skills that slow and snare opponents.MagesCleric – Supportive class that can heal and buff allies. They can taunt opponents to keep aggro.Swordsman – Fighters who use two-handed swords. Equipped with a sword and shield. Clerics also have offensive spells.Wizard – Powerful casters who can cast spells that deal heavy damage.

What's featured in the Shenmue I and II remaster?

The Shenmue I and II remaster is a pretty slight but well executed port, and what has been added is particularly welcome. Features include:

• The ability to save at any time
• English and Japanese voice options, which can be changed at any time in the menu
• The camera movement mapped to the right analogue stick
• PC controller support, and customisable mouse and keyboard support
• 1080p and 30 frames per second visuals, with widescreen support during gameplay
• Shenmue II can accept the saves from the first game - carrying over items and move training progress - and features Xbox enhancements including the camera mode
